i've just put on a big bore throttle body on, and now my car idles at like 1500 rpm or has a spuratic idle that goes up and down. it won't sit in one spot. has anyone else had this problem? is my ecu reading to much air or something? please help me..anyone. thanks

Maybe try reseting the ecu and adjusting the idle position. Did you make sure all the vacuum hoses are on right.

 

its a big bore 70mm from inlinefour.com.....how do u adjust the idle position? with the screw on the throttle body? if so, i allready did that. the car actually idles decent when its cold...then after u beat on it, it stay around 1500rpm

 

yeah you adjust it by the screw. but did you disconnect that sensor it tells you to in the helms( I forgot what it is Map or IAC) and then adjust the idle and then reset the ecu. Disconnect the neg. side of the battery for I think it is 5-10 minand then reconnect.

 

i'll go give it a shot right now...but see the car is usually fine when its cold. it really idles high like after i drive it for a while or it gets hot or i beat on it. after then is normally when it idles up.
