Default Idle...

When the car is at idle, its suppose to be at 1000rpm, am i right? my car idle's at 1000rpm, then drops to 900, then to 8-700 rpm, then goes back up to 900. i was just wondering if this is a problem? i havent gotten around to cleaning/spraying my throttle body with carb cleaner...is it the same thing, or is it totally different? could it be the heat and that the ecu is trying to adapt to the conditions?

im just concerned, thats all. thanks guys!

RPM's dipping momentarily like you describe is normal in my experiences. It should only happen occasionaly at stops.

Should not be a consistant thing...but has happened to us occasionally, especially with the a/c on...it will dip down to 800, then pop back up and regulate...

the worst thing you could do is clean ur throttle body wit carborator cleaner .. you gonna ruin all the sensor ... its ok for carborator cars cuz it aint got none ( sounds like a rap lyrics ) ... anyway, its normal , mine does that too ...

Check your manual about the defrost thing, I'm pretty sure it says how to change that. On my RSX-S you could turn it off.

i had a quick question. when you start up on a warm start do your RPMs drop down to like 5-600 just for a second and them pick back up? someone was saying i need to have my valves adj. just wondering if anyone else gets this.
