Default gsr o2 sensor problem.

I got the code p0141, and it says bank 1 sensor 2. I replaced the front o2 with a denso, and the check engine light is still there. (I replaced it that one because the guy at my local advance auto part said it was that one.) Is it the one in the cat thats bad?? any help please.

thanks

P0141 = secondary O2 sensor heater circuit

That's the rear sensor, mounted in the catalyst. The O2 sensor you didn't replace. That code doesn't necessarily mean the sensor itself is bad though.

Do you own and know how to use a multi-meter? Unplug the sensor and find the 2 same-color (black?) wires on the sensor-side of the plug. Measure resistance between them - it should be 10 to 40 ohms. A bad sensor will usually be open-circuit (no continuity).

If the sensor comes back ok, then you need to look at wiring problems in the car.

that reset button is for the maintenance light, has nothing to do with the check engine light.

bank 1 sensor 2 is the one in the cat.

ok back from the dead..i replaced the secondary o2 and everything was fine for about 15 days or so. then the check engine light returned...same code. It says bank 2 lean(or something of that nature). So what now? What could be causing this light to come back on. I reset the code, its good for a few days, and then back it comes.

p0141 code has nothing to do with reading lean or rich conditions, its a code for the heater circuit on the o2

and there is no bank 2 unless you've swapped a v6 in your integra

inline fours are only bank one, a v6 or v8 etc would have 2 banks, the left side is a bank and the right side is a bank

read the code, dont listen to the retarded parts guys who think they are master mechanics, come back here and tell use what code you have

hmm. that primary o2 sensor (the one in the front) that you changed the first time; was it a universal one that you had to splice in your original connector?
and yes, as mentioned, the exact code as well as the number, please
