Default weak spark

Well, ive run out of idea's. my b20b has pretty damn weak spark. changed ICM, coil pack (new), spark plugs (new V powers), spark plug wires (NGK Blue), still weak spark....Anyone have any idea's? It runs...but really low on power and looks very weak.

First off pull out that v crap and put in ngk regular plugs, gapped right, then get oem wires. Finally check and make sure your valve alignment is good, grounds, timing. No engine codes? Do the cap and rotor?

i had regular ngk plugs in there, no change. both sets are gapped properly. oem wires vs ngk shouldnt make that much of a difference. My original wires were completely fucked and shocked you right through the wire. timing is good. no engine codes. my next guess was to try some booster cables from the battery to the block to check ground. i did the cap and rotor about 6 months ago. what do you mean about valve alignment?

I cant afford to just throw parts at it as i was just laid off yesterday due to low work....

Aligning the gap on the valves in the head. It is supposed to be done like every 30k max. They get tight over tie instead of loose and **** up the head.

What you think is weak spark may be another issue.

use an HEI tester to confirm that it is indeed weak spark. they're cheaper than dirt and you should own one anyways.
if it fails the HEI test, i'd look into just replacing the distributor altogether

did you not gap them before you installed?
and yes, a shorter gap will lower firing kilovolts

I was 4.5 hours away from home and they were pregapped plugs (-11's, so 1.1mm, which is in the 1-1.1 mm spec for the V). Figured they would be fine. Im gonna pull them all and regap them today.
