Default clutch noise?

B16 with ls tranny stage 2 exeddy clutch installed three months ago with new fidanza flywheel. When i start my car i can hear like a mild rubbin / grinding noise the. When i put it in gear thr noise goes away. Could it be the clutch forks or something?

Try this put the car in neutral while running and put the clutch pedal to the floor if the noise goes away its a worn input shaft bearing.

The bearing itself is about 20$ but you need to drop the transmission and open it up to replace the bearing.

i paid 30 for mine online, the local dealer wanted 60. if ur paying to get it installed, id suspect like 500 bucks. u could probably get it down to a lil over 100 if u remove the trans urself

300 is too much imo, id just change the input shaft bearing or try to find a b16 trans. I mean u can ride on those things bad for a long time.

u mean change the input shaft bearing, cause to do a rebuild is like 400 bucks n parts. might as well change the input shaft and output shaft seals too. When i did mine i had like a hundred bucks n two bearings and three seals

if the trans doesn't grind and you don't want to spend a lot just installing the bearing is fine.
