Need help, it's been bugging me
I finally had the engine put back together and installed into the engine bay after 13 months working on it. Everything fine for now.. except for the COOL FANS and Engine oil cooler. I bought a 97 JDM GSR from HMOTORONLINE and converted to OBD1. I have replaced the cool fans to slim cool fans and also replaced the relays, fan switch at the thermostat housing and checked all the fuses, still the fans won't come on at all. All ground points are checked and good to go I couldn't think of anything else. 2nd I've done enough researching and find that the 96-97 JDM GSR does not come with engine oil cooler, the engine oil run thru the big coolant oil line I think... (i'm still very confused) should I get an aftermarket or find an OEM engine oil cooler at the junkyard and install it or it's good the way is it right now? thanks in advance.
I took out for a test drive around the block and I noticed the Temp gauge needle was right in the middle between hot and cold... I should be sit somewhere closer to cold than hot... I'm think direct wires to the battery and make a switch for it...
i bypassed mine by wiring it into the cd player power wire.when i turn the key to first click,it comes on automatically.
thanks guys......
