Default help oil temp..

now i own a 93 honda del sol and i installed a oil temp. gauge like one year ago.. the oil temp used to be like around 200 -250 f. now the temp is going all the way up to 300f. now i checked the oil and it need it like 2 quarts cause it didn't have enough ,, now was this for the lack of oil or it's something else?
now the temp. started to go up since i change the radiator cap to my car.. and also i feel like the engine is heating more even on the coolan temp gauge is going up more but still does not goes all the way up..

before i didn't have this problem cause the hot air was going out of the radiator cause the cap was busted.. , and everithing change when i put the new one and is also affecting my oil temp..so erthing else is just working fine.. except for this two problems. ..,, now what is it?? i'm really worry about, i do not want to blow my engine..
by the way right now i just put 2 quarts of oil and leave the fan coolan always on.. that's keeping both things on normal.. and the car runs good, but i'm still concern..
about it..

How you manage to run 2 quarts down and not notice is a question all in itself. Of course, it has everything to do with it. Is is easier to heat a cup or a gallon of water, there is your answer.
