Default 92 civic dash lights not working

Just picked up a 92 civic and the dash climate control and parking lights dont comeon. Can anyone help me please. Ive checked the fuse 19

replace dimmer switch with known good one, also check to make sure it's getting power.

Yea, if the dashlight brightness controller/dimmer goes out, all the dashlights go out. Wonderful design feature lol.

Ok ill check the switch and ive checked and there is no power. Does any one know were the ground is cause i think that might be the problem.

Yeah but where is the ground for the dash light located on the body of the car, thats what i ment sry if u misunderstood me.

The whole entire car body where there's metal is ground....... It's for everything. Whenever someone says ground, it's the car body.

There's a specific test to determine if your dashlight dimmer is bad, and here it is. Do this and if it's no good you have two options... Go grab another one (from the dealer or a junkyard), or you can simply jump RED to BLK with a paper clip or whatever and call it a day. If you jump it, though, keep in mind that your dashlights will be full bright when you turn them on. Your call.

Ok thank you fragmare ive jumped the red and black and i still have no lights. How do i check for continulty to ground?

Get an ohm meter and put one lead on the wire that should be ground and the other lead on ground. If there's continuity, it'll be 0 ohms, if there's a dirty connection, the ohms will read a number, but if there's no continuity, the meter won't change at all.

Ok so found out the is a good ground its the power im gettinng no power any body know what could cause there to be no power the fuse is good how bout the switch how could i test that? Also my parking lights are not working front and back.

try your parking light fuse or even your brake light fuse i think it is my last car lost dash lights and it ended up being ran off a different fuse then the cluster one

Checked the parking light and brake light fuse both are good im thinking it might be the parking/headlight switch
