Default removing headliner and trunk leaks

FYI, this is a 96 GSR sedan

ok, well the guy who i bought my car from a while back had one of thoose 'el scanner' things in it, you know the little blue light on the front windshield near the rearview mirror that zips back and forth. well i got pissed at it because it made some weird evil carnival music really softly, so i ripped it out. then my sunroof stopped working apparently it was spliced into the sunroofs power supply. so ive stared removing **** from the headliner, any tips?

also my trunk leaks, im wondering if you guys have any tricks to finding the source of the where the water is coming in?

for the trunk i would guess check the seals on the tailights, this is a common source of the problem

Bingo. I've got a 96 GSR sedan also and I've noticed that my leaks are coming from the tailights also.

thanks, i just stripped my trunk partly becasue the leak was causing the wafer board or whatever that fake wood board that covers the spare is was collapsing. So i figured, what the hell ill just rip everything out of here and chaulk it up to weight reduction.

i dont think the scanner would be wired into your sunroof. thats only powered up when the car is turned on. just pull the pillar molding and see if you disconnected anything.

and the leak is either tailights(very common over 5 years old) or the rain channels for your sunroof. use silicone cauck(sp?) on the taillights and torque each nut the same. should stop that
