the turbo might be a bit small, and the manifold is probably the weakest link in the whole thing.

I know the big 16g on the Evo max at 360whp. So that's more what u want. And most cast aftermarket can handle that hp and they tend to be cheap. Other then that it isn't that bad Just watch the piping and couplers they might go first

So what would you guys rate the small 16g for whp? 300? Im really trying to put together a budget build but with quality parts as this will be my dd. This is my first build and gonna be my first taste of boost other then driving a buddys SRT4. Iv been researching the evo 3 big 16g turbo and i havent seen a adapter plate to the hf manifold.

Anyway, How does this turbo look?

I think you might be capable of reaching your goals with the proper setup and tune. The turbo that you are planning to use I think its a little on the small side of the world based on your desired goals I have seen godspeed on Ebay selling a T3/T4 for a reasonable price at least take a look if not put what you have together and see what potential you get from that setup. On the other side of things my experience with chrome vs hondata S300 the chrome lost horribly. I did not read in your post what size injectors you are planning to use no did you mention a fuel pump upgrade ... these are just a few more things to add to the equation. Good luck on your project I hope my response helped a little .

The big problem with this is that turbo is externally wg and the hf uses internal. And it looks large. Idk how well u could spool that ether

Thanks a lot for the response owend16boost. I plan on at least 550cc injectors. But i think the duty cycle on that would be way to high so im keeping my eye out for some bigger ones. I have heard it is hit and miss with those ebay turbos so im not even gonna take the chance. I have plenty of friends that have name brand turbos. Id rather make 250whp on a nice reliable turbo then hit 350 whp for a month. I also im getting ready to pick up a 255 walbro fuel pump. And for tuning, im gonna call a place locally to see what they can tune it on first and then make my decision.

And SKAVENENGER88 thanks for the response. Iv seen people create a wastegate hole on the hf manifold but i heard it is tricky. If i were to use a 16g on the hf manifold what psi would the 16g internal wastegate max out on? I THOUGHT i have heard of people with dsms getting 22 psi on internal wastegate? But i am not sure as iv never owned a dsm. Thanks a lot again guys.

Ditch the HF manifold, save $200 for a nice log or mini ram.

Turbo size is probably to small aswell for your power goal

a cheap cast even eBay cast mani will be better then the hf and it will range from 100-250. And less hassel. I think stock are rated to 15 on internal. I might be wrong. I know they do sell internal upgrades but that high go boost. I would start to worrie about the block. Best bet is to find a stock turbo besides the Dsm 16g and no stock srt4 cuz the hosing is part of the manifold

i had almost the same ambition and the same parts list, but i ended up getting a GT28RS instead. the Mitsu turbos are journal bearing and will lag, i wanted a more immediate power. consider doing something similar.
