Hood latch cable loose?
Hey guys.
I've got a 97 Teggy and it is a two person job to open the hood. One needs to sit in the driver seat and hold the latch up while the other yanks the hood up and undoes the latch.
I was wondering how I go about tightening the cable so it actually pops the hood open? Is it possible? I don't want to be stranded without access to my engine should anything happen. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Open the hood and then use a screw driver to latch the hood latch, [without closing the hood] have someone pull the hood release as you watch the latch.
Does the latch release?
You said you need two people to open the hood, what exactly does the person at the hood have to do, just lift up on it as the release lever is being pulled, or does he have to push down on the hood as the release lever is pulled so the latch will release? 94

The person standing at the hood needs to lift the hood up while the person in the car pulls the release lever. They pretty much heave up on it so it comes out of the latch, then they unhook the hood to open it fully.
