I'm upgrading from a Garrett T3/T4e .60 A/R compressor to a T4 60-1.

When does the Turbo start to spool up? This is with a 2.0 Liter.

 

what size turbine .69 or what

 

my guess is anywhere from 3200-4000 depending on the turbine

 

wait!!! A t4 60-1??? I thought T4 is raly only for DRAG racing also on 2 litre .........are'nt people upgrading usualy to a T3 flanched 60-1?

 

The T4 60-1 should spool by about 3500-4k rpm.

 

with a log style manifold, it should be fully spooled by 5500 rpms. quicker with a ball bearing upgrade or equal length manifold. you'll love it!!!!! actually i have one for sale. t4, ball bearing. i used it for less than a month.

 

go with an O trim turbine wheel...that's what I decided to use. I was gonna get the "P" trim, but the P might be too big. the P is a little larger than a stage 5 wheel and the O is a little smaller.

I'm still stumped on what size turbine housing to use. any suggestions?

 

Yeah.. it definetly won't hit full boost before 5k. It'll probably start spooling around 4k. Hell, I have a 57trim .63 a/r exhaust and I get full boost around 4500.
