I'm having a similar problem !
The first time I try to turn the engine*its fine, but then the ignition takes a few go's to turn it on. Also, after you turn the car off to go do something then come back, *it won't turn on unless you wait like 20-30mins. What's wrong with my car?*In desperate need of an answer. It's a Honda civic gli btw!

sounds like a main relay have had a simaliar problem.
main relay left side of fuse box i just opened my up and resodered never happened again

 

like he said ^ try the main relay.... if not that try the ignition part like the wires, spark plugs, distributor...sounds like an ignition problem

 

Sorry guys, had no idea about using someone else's thread since I'm new but yeah. I've changed the spark plugs already, they're brand new but I haven't checked the main relay yet so I'll do that asap. Thank you all heaps !
