Default Rebuilding an L3 tranny using S20 write up?

So far this is the best visual step by step write up I've managed to find, because he gives all the feeler gauge and torque specs as he goes.

Problem is, this write up is for an S20 from a D16Z6 whereas I'm looking to rebuild an HF L3.

Are these transmissions similar enough that it would be safe to use this DIY write-up?

The S20 and L3 are very similar - use the S20 write up and you will be fine.

Ok, thanks I appreciate it. Either I really suck with google or no one has ever produced an L3 specific manual.
