Default Rebuilding D16Z6 - Questions About Various Components

Okay. So I've got quite a few parts I'm going to install. I originally planned on installing a turbo but I backed out on that for now so this is where I stand and I need to know if this is okay. Its for a D16Z6

Rebuilt head:
New valves, guides, and seals
Titanium springs and retainers
Blox stage 2 camshaft.
adjustable cam gear

Block:
bored over to 75.5mm
"vitara" pistons with rcautoworks rods
new bearings, seals, etc...

Skunk2 intake manifold
Omnipower throttle body(not sure if that works with the manifold yet)
4 bar map sensor from speedfactory(someone suggested for turbo)
Walbro 225 fuel pump

This is where I get iffy about things:
I have a set of ~800cc bosch fuel injectors. Now that I've put off the turbo for a while are these going to be overkill(as in putting too much fuel into the combustion chamber)? I'm not sure how these things work.

Also, I got a chip from Xenocron that had a basemap flashed for these components and I told them it was going to be turbo'd. Should I get it reflashed with a non-turbo basemap?

get a non tubo base map
return to stock injectors
return to stock map sensor

The basemap will work just fine for your car, assuming you're running all of the parts you told them you would. It doesn't matter if you have a turbo or not. Maps are three dimensional. If your MAP sensor never sees boost, you'll only use two dimensions of the map, and the car will run just fine.

A 4 BAR map sensor is stupid and pointless. 1 BAR = 14.7 PSI. 4 BAR = 58.8 PSI. For MAP sensors, they can generally "see" 10-12 PSI ber BAR. A 4 BAR map sensor is great if you want to run 30-40 PSI, but below that, they're pointless. Also, a higher BAR MAP sensor will have worse resolution at lower pressures. A MAP sensor should be picked out based on the max boost the engine is running, not the max boost you "might run in the future".

Vitara pistons are lower compression than stock, IIRC, thus why people run them for boost. Good luck seeing any power with those if you aren't boosted.

You don't need the Walbro, or the injectors.

Run the Xeno chip you bought, and make sure you have all of the mods installed that you told them about when they cut the chip for you, otherwise it won't function correctly.

Hey, my name is David and i have a question about my 97 Jdm B18c type r.. I'm concidering a few new upgrades and wanted to get some opinions. The idea is to swap out the intake manifold,throttle body and the fuel rail. I have been looking into getting all these parts from skunk2 since that's what i have been using primarily.
1.Is the skunk2 intake manifold a better upgrade then the stock one?
2.The motor is NA so whats a good Throttle body? I was thining 74mm But like i said the motor is NA.
Thanks in advance..

@jbpnoman: Yeah, I realized the compression/power issue with the vitara pistons. It's just the original plan was that I was going to take a risk on one of the cheapo turbo kits but I've changed my mind about it and decided to save up for proper components, thus the questions about the things that I DID buy. So you're positive about the basemap? Would it really hurt to have the Walbro in? If it did pump too much fuel it would just get sent back and cycled through again wouldn't it? Also, with those pistons installed will I actually be LOSING power or would it roughly stay stock? I've heard that the pistons don't actually lower compression as much as advertised so I'm not too sure.

Thanks for the help people.

The Xenocron guy said it wont run right with the basemap that's flashed. Anyways. I've installed the cam and I've noticed 2 valves on the intake side and 2 on the exhaust side aren't closing all the way. Even with the adjustment screws turned all the way out. I don't know what to do.

If the basemap is for his 800cc injectors and map sensor, it'll run fine

My car is just fine with the exact same setup, N/A. Feels just like stock. With those custom length rods, his CR is going to be around 8.5:1 which shouldn't be a noticeable difference from stock.

OP, run the injectors/fuel pump that your basemap is set for.
