Default Help 93 Accord 5sp F22B1 swapped

Hello everyone, This is a long story but i hope someone can help.

I bought a 93 accord two door five speed car for a couple hundred dollars. The motor (f22a6) blew up and jammed a valve thru the piston. The guy i got it from took a F22B1 from a 94 accord automatic car and put it in the 1993.

He tried to use the f22a6 intake and it ran horrable. he gave up on the project and sold it to me. So i have gotten the correct manifolds and brackets on the car and extended the iac wiring. The car has and external coil. I have the internal dizzy for the motor from the other car. Heres my question i have a 94 f22b1 ecu but its for an automatic.

1st question. will this computer work with my 5spd.

2nd question How do i hook up vtech. the car runs and runs pretty good but i want vtech hooked up.

3rd question. how or can i swap the external coil dizzy for the internal or does it matter.

4th the vtech solinoid is leaking. and the oil light starts to flash after 10 mins or so of running. it doesnt go out if i rev it up. so i put a new sender in it and it didnt change anything. would the leak cause low oil pressure like im describing? its not pouring just wet around mounting flange. the motor had good oil pressure in other car i drove it before we pulled it out. but this has been sitting for like two years since the motor was installed.

ok i know that was alot but any help would be appreciated..

also iam running the 93 computer because it doesnt get spark if i install the 94 computer. i know i have to change two pins for the o2 sensor and egr valve. but being the car came with a external coil and the computer is for a internal coil dizzy.thats the reason to want to change to the internal coil dizzy

I'm not too sure on this, I'd guess that you could use it, but it would be best to just get a 37820-P0A-A01 ecu.

They got a couple guys on ebay that sell the kit or you can go to rywire.com You just plug the connectors in and run the wire through the firewall and open up the connectors at the ecu and push the pins in and then just close up the back of the connector.

Just do a search for "external coil to internal coil conversion".

This is serious business, man. I'm guessing you checked your oil level ? You need to attach a gauge and see if the oil level is actually low. I can't imaging you're leaking enough oil in the 10 minutes to drop below minimum oil pressure but I guess you could if the leak is ridiculously bad. You will need to find out what's leaking and buy the proper gasket for it.

Is it safe to assume you're throwing a code ? You really need to swap those two pins, but if the car is running good maybe they already got swapped ? Have you checked ?

ok so i just orderd a new oil pump it will be here in like three days. and no there are no codes i am running the non vtech ecu on the vtech motor. so the pins havent been swapped yet. and i have googled the external to internal coil swap and cant find really anything for my specific setup and ideas where i can find this write up? thatnks guys for all the help i checked for codes with a snap on modis whis is one step under their top of the line scanner. and i was suprised that it wasnt throwing a code. it runs good but kinda loses power after 3800 rpm but that is because vtech isnt engaging.

FYI, it's VTEC not Vtech! We're talking about Honda's variable valve timing not an electronics manufacturer.

The external to internal coil swap DIYs for other chassis distributors use the same principles in converting the Accord distributors. All you need to do is find the wiring schematics. There are free PDF manuals online that you can download.

As for your ECU, if you are handy with electronics at all. You can convert the auto ECU to manual with the removal of a couple resistors inside the ECU.

ok sorry about the spelling iam handy with a soldering iron do you know what resistors i need to remove or point me in the right direction to where i can find the information at? i also have access to mitchell on demand at work with all wiring diagrams. i failed to mention i have a extra internal coiled dizzy but the harness on the car had the big four wire plug for the coil. so i guess i need to figure out how to wire the internal dizzy to my harness when i make the proper modifications to my VTEC ecu? and i will look on rywire.com to find the harness i need to hook up the VTEC solenoid.

You can obviously leave Q29, but I took it out and reused it for a P05 -> 4 wire o2 conversion (same thing).
If you are a member of pgmfi.org, or want to become one, here is the link to the thread; P0A auto to manual Ecu conversion. anyone have info?

As mentioned removing Q29 is optional and replacing the stock ROM with one from a P0A-A01 is optional as well.
