Default 2000 gsr power window problems

Hello I have a 2000 integra
recently the driver side window has stopped working. It sometimes functions after I slam the door but usually stops after I roll the window up. I've checked the fuses, replaced the motor and the switch. After i replaced them it still funtions very rarely also only for a short period of time. I have no idea what else it could be its only the driver side window. the pass side has worked with both the switches ive tried. The driver side window also worked one and off with both motors aswell but only with the door closed and if It doesn't function sometimes if I slam the door it will start to work. I'm baffled

If someone could help me I'd appreciate it I've searched every thread I could find Thank you!

Check the connection in the door harness between the door and the cabin. Has your car been in an accident recently?

it's most likely the windows module problem. really common in honda/acura cars. it's orange and on the driver's front windows panel.

Slow running window will likely need a new window regulator. You can try spraying some silicon (and ONLY SILICON) spray into the rubber run channels to see if it helps but it will likely be a temporary fix.

when you say you can slam the door and it will work..

the only thing you can smack and get to work if it's bad, that i know of(lot of window problems at work come in),is the window motor..

It has not been in accident in the 3 years Ive owned the car. @ macdelli i think you're referring to the door lock module. thanks i appreciate the help i have replaced the motor with a new one and nothing. then i swapped the old motor back in and it was working every 3/5 times i would get into the car. so then i replaced the switch and used it with the old motor and it still worked on and off. the new switch with the new motor worked just as finicky as the old ones did together. Ive removed the door panel checked the wires and they show no signs of breaks or any flaws Ive checked all connectors.

i did have the door panel off for a while so i could manually put the window down for the summer and i had the window switch hanging by the harness. and in that time if i got in the car the window would work fine if i only pushed on the drivers side window switch. but if i picked up the Whole master switch box and tried to roll the window down nothing. it stopped working or lost connectivity if i moved it from the location in which it was hanging.
i apologize for the drawn out explanation but this has been driving me crazy! thank you for any further help would be appreciated

That is a door lock module, it says so right on the box and by the vendor, "94 95 Acura Integra door lock computer module control"
there is no module for the power windows, just a relay, [main power relay].

I agree with kchungb17a the problem is most likely at the door harness to chassis harness connections, more commonly broken leads in the door jamb boot.

Easy enough to test for, open the door, turn on the ign. hold window switch to the up or down position, [depending on where window is] grab the door jamb boot and move it back and forth, if window moves, [or stops moving] you have broken leads in the boot.

To repair, remove door panel and speaker alog with the speaker housing, unplug the door harness from the A pillar chassis harness plug, pull the door harness into the door and out the speaker opening so you can "untape" the door jamb rubber boot and slide it down the door harness to access the broken lead(s).

DO NOT make the repair at the break, add a section of wire so the repair is not at the same point the wire broke at, [most likely at the point the boot bends the most when door is opened and closed] or it will just break there again.

Check all the other leads in the boot also, even if there is no sign a lead is broken, it may well be broken inside the insulator, to check for that pull on each lead on either side of the "bend point" if wire stretches it is broken inside. 94

thank you for the direction i messed with the boot and got nothing but i removed it any way and found this

it appears to have gotten pulled from the connecter on the inside of the door jam im not sure how to go about repairing it seeing as it seems like there is no way to re insert it into the jam/door connector that it came out of correct me if im wrong electrical work isn't my forte

Hummm, white/yellow, power for drivers window.

The best way would be to get a new pin and crimp it to the wire, de-pin the old pin and re-pin the new one.

Finding a new pin my be difficult, so next best would be to carefully de-pin the old pin, keeping track of not only the location but how the pin is "orientated" in the plug, then re-crimp, [if possible] the pin to the wire or solder it to the wire and re-pin it.

If the pin is damaged beyond reuse, it up your local bone yard, [PicknPull] and get a new plug or just that one pin with a few inches of lead on it, [enough lead to reach inside the door] make the connection, [solder and shrink tube] inside the door and run the lead to the plug and re-pin it, or you can just get the whole door harness and replace it, your done. 94

thank you i will try to re pin it. but this is the plug that connects to the door from the car in the doorjam area not the plug on the inside of the door that is connected to the harness.

Say what?
Is that not the harness, [and plug] from inside of the door, that plugs into the A pillar chassis harness plug??? 94
