Default cluster confusion

Hey Ht

I have a 91 civic si hatch, and I'm doing the jdm ef9 cluster swap, I have been searching for plug diagrams and schematics. I found this website https://sites.google.com/site/trever...t/pdfdocuments
that gives me the plug diagram for the jdm cluster.

I keep finding diagrams for a 90-91 crx, are they the same as a hatch?

Because I have three plugs that plug in to my cluster, I have a 6 wire grey plug, a 12 wire grey plug, and a 2 wire blue plug, but in all the plug diagrams I find people never mention the blue plug.

https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/how-using-cable-vss-sir-jdm-cluster-2024912/

This link shows the two plugs but its missing the last two wire blue plug that I have.

Also, most of the websites that have the diagram are no longer open, they are broken links.

Please help it is greatly appreciated.......thanks again.

Default Re: cluster confusion

Hey guys,

So I was able to match the two grey plugs from my civic cluster to the three grey plugs to the jdm cluster. The two wires from the blue plug that my civic has I left them the way they are.

I came to another problem, my jdm cluster is missing the 10 pin green plug. From tutorials that I searched I am told that I can use pc power supply plugs, The question I have is if I leave that green plug from the jdm cluster unplugged would my cluster still work?

I notice that all the green plug does is tells me what door is open and it buzzes when a seat belt is not fasten, I notice that one of the ign power wires does connect to this plug that is my concern that if I don't plug this plug to the cluster my cluster would not work.

Can someone please confirm this for me?
