Icon6 What upgrades should I do to my 99 civic ex?

Hello, I was thinking about getting an exhaust and intake for it any suggestions on which ones should I buy? Or any other light performance upgrade

And any suggestions on how can I prolong the life of it? It has 148k miles on it and I use it at my job as a delivery car so pretty much my life depends on it.

Sorry if I sound like a noob I dont really know much about cars Thanks in advance!

First off start doing homework, that will be the most benifical for you.

before you even start thinking about upgrade, get the maintenance taken care of.. Timing belt, water pump, plugs, wires, cap rotor, fuel filter, pcv, brakes, suspension and stearing, etc.

You say you're going to be doing delivery and want to get Exhaust+Intake?
Ehh that wouldn't be the best choice, as all you're doing is buying piping to make your car louder. Yeah it's cool to hear a loud car here and then, but what if you were listening to that noise every drive?

Life prolonging? Good maintenance.
There's not much performance you can do to a D-series, unless you rebuild the motor and/or go forced induction (such as Turbo) other than that, it's a waste of money for I/H/E on a stock D-series actually, you're just going to make it sound irritating.

A stock Civic is for civil use, such as commuting and delivering in your case, not for racing.

they make valid points but its your car man you decide what you want to do, you asked for suggestions i would prefer skunk2 axle back keep your cat. and res. so u have a good deep tone cause straight pipe without forced inductions sounds terrible IMO, and for intake K&N, AEM, and the Whale ***** are all good intakes with slight performance upgrade

I don't know how this sounds like on a D-series, but it's pretty good for a universal muffler under $60

Very slight performance though, better saving up for aftermarket internals to rebuild your motor with
