Hey Guys, new to this forum and new to working on my CR-V!

I had a valve cover leak and figured I would replace the gasket as well as do the valve clearance... Anyways my spark plug seals are hard as rock, I was using pliers and screwdriver but am afraid of scratching up my valve cover... I figured I'd make a signature but can't figure out how... the vehicle in question is a 2004 CR-V EX

 

Ive always started out with a pick to try to get them out. If that doesnt work, a screw and a drill works wonders. screw it in, then use vice grips and rip it out.

 

just use a flat head screwdriver and pry it out. stop being a bitch. then use a same size socket to hammer in the new ones. done

 

Anything i pick or pry comes off in small pieces, can not grab the whole thing and I don't even know how deep the channel goes I keep pulling out pieces of rubber... what a mess

 

keep giving er till its all out.
