What would you guys recommend as a good all-around street/drag/autox tire? I was thinking maybe a set of Falken Azenis since they're pretty cheap and I've heard good things about them. I'm looking for 2.0-2.1 60's. What's the treadwear like on the Azenis?

 

I believe the tread wear on the Azenis is only 200.

 

not to shabby, some better tyres will help, perhaps azeines or maybe some yoko avs! good luck,

 

what about nitto drag radials, they any good? they seem cheap.

 

Yoko stopped making the avs in 205-50-15 which sux because I loved those tires. I got the azenis and they kick *** too.

Azenis are super heavy, but the traction is very good.

How are the Nitto DR's for daily driving? treadwear? Wet/dry traction? Are they safe in the rain?

 

Congrats on breaking into the 14s. Just curious, what RPM did you launch at, and what was your technique?

 

I launched at 4000 RPM, anything over and I wouldn't grip at all. I tried slipping but it's pretty hard to slip a 6 puck. I've found that dropping the clutch at 4k has been working well for me.
