hello everyone. i am building my h22a in my crx and before i took the engine out i had an open diff and i didnt have traction 1st thru middle of 3rd, i did take my trans apart and i did weld up my diff. my question is has anyone gone from an open diff to a welded diff and what was the improvement like? im not asking how not to drive on the streets and bla bla bla thanks in advance!
A very hard turn. Like "Oh ****!" or more.
Wears out tires, handles worse than an LSD. It's the ghetto-ist you can do. And I don't want the weld breaking up sending bits of **** into the transmission I just rebuilt.
Get an LSD

I have a welded diff in my dc2 road car, it was great for handling better than a lsd and launches but it would lock the 2 front wheels up solid if you let off the gas in a corner,

sweet ill let everyone know how it works out. and yes mainly drag racing but i would like to be able to drive it to the strip without snapping an axle before i get there. im not going to get an lsd unless someone has one layin around they dont want ha
A welded diff will not handle better than an LSD.
A welded diff or LSD usually won't improve your times at the strip if the car is setup properly with a decent driver, LSD is mainly a reliability mod.
