1992-95 civic cx vx hatch gearing/swap ?s
I will be getting a 1994 civic cx hatch. i was wondering if the cx transmission is no good for swaps. does it have too long of gears? i would like a b18c or k20a or even a d16z6 in it- i'm still undecided yet. i will be daily driving and want at least 200hp to 275-ish hp. and is a b series engine an easy swap? i know the k isnt and i know the d is. And if i get one of these engines, will i need to buy a new transmission as well?
Yes cx Trans is very long. Search button is your friend. I have seen thousands of threads on this forum alone that can answer every question you have. Try alittle reaserch or people WILL ignore your posts OR FLAME you so hard. It's all here and we will be also when you have a legit question that isn't so easily obtained through a quick search. Good luck my friend!:-)

Sounds like your asking if you could put a cx tranny on a b series or a k series. That is not possible!!! A b series swap is super easy!!! I recently dropped a gsr into my 94 vx and literally only had to repin two wires and it dropped in and fired right up. I pick a b series swap due to the easyness and prepare myself for a k swap. As mention just search, there is plenty of info
hey speedjunkie, did you also put a new transmission in when you put the gsr engine into your vx? I'm asking because you said a cx tranny will not go with a b series or k series, but vx also has very long gearing like a cx, so did you keep your vx tranny or did you put a different one in when you did the swap?
