Default 97 civic z6 block/y8 head huge hestitation problem

I have a z6 block and y8 head with a skunk 2 pro series intake manifold and a jdm gsr obd2 throttle body. under 3k it feels like ita not getting fuel like the injectora aren't throwing enough fuel and heaitates bad. then as the rpms increase the hesitation stops at like 3500. I feel like its not at its full potential. i really need assistance on this issue because its bothering me. please and thank you to any and all insight given.

WHY do you have the IM and TB on what is essentially a stock engine?

you could check the TB or your air intake. this happened to me i would be driving and car wold not wont to pass 4k and would drive like i had a bent valve or something. turned out my air intake was half-way off and car was not getting enough air. fixed it car drove like a champ

Any check engine lights? What ECU? What is your Civics trim EX/DX/CX? Check cam and ignition timing?

Checked my throttle body and changed my tps, still does it. Put everything on timing. Im running a p28 and no lights. I even ran a y8 ecu, no lights, and still runs the same. And i have a lx 4 door.

Lessee. You put on intake parts that shovel in even more air over stock but expect the stock ECU to somehow compensate for it? Hmmm.

Are you running a Z6 or Y8 cam gear?

driveability stuff is always hard to speculate from across the internet. and as much as i wanted to come in here and say "you put an intake manifold on a 1.6 liter motor and expect to have v8 torque?" i know exactly the feeling you are talking about.

mine does it cold, different motor and different car, but mine personally relates to the overall tuning of the engine. mine is a custom tune, and i haven't actually bothered looking at it to do any logging/diag but it does it after cold starts and before the engine warms up.. most likely i've got funky ignition timing when the ect reads cold. anyway:

symptoms:
between idle to say 3000 rpm. there is no power under what would otherwise be normal driving, i really have to push the throttle and it's a struggle to get up to the 35mph speed limit. but if i breach a 2500~3000rpm barrier or give it too much throttle, it's like it suddenly comes back to life and rockets off.. making me look like i can't drive.

is this what you are experiencing?

is the new tps on your new throttle body out of calibration? does it read pretty linearly? no crap spots around closed throttle? did the manifold come with an iat sensor? long shot, but i'd check to see if it's in range as well. best bet is to throw a timing light on it and see where you're at. maybe something funny shows up. a nice gentle light throttle rev should see a nice smooth advance from idle timing.

That iis exactly whats happening to my car. I did calibrate the tps. was only able to calibrate at completely closed though. At wide open it would not reach 4.5v. The manifold did not come wit a iat sensor. I did not using a timing light to put the ignition timing on but i will definatly double check that. but overall everything i have tryed has not mad a differance.

yeah let me know what the timing looks like. maybe i'll actually look at my own car today. but probably not.
