Where can I get a 0 ohm jumper?
I have a socketed p72 and I cut off the jumper(j1). So where can I find one and if I have it resolddered, does it mean that it will read the custom map? The custom chip should be in there?
A 0 ohm jumper can be found at radio shack.
You can even use the end of a resistor as a jumper.
If J1 is not installed the obd1 ecu will run off the stock rom.
If j1 is installed an eprom chip must be properly installed.

Thanks. So if I had j1 jumped them it should read the chip? I didn't remove the chip.
You can buy a 1k resistor and cut the end off of it and use that as a jumper.
You can also use a strand of copper wire etc. You are simply jumping the traces on j1

this jumper is $5! Wow. Should I just order from digikey? 22g wire work as well? I'm going to get this done tomorrow.

You are making this so much more difficult than it needs to be.
do you understand the concept of what a "0 ohm jumper" actually is? Just get any piece of metal/wiring/etc to bridge the traces together.
Yes, 22 AWG wire is OK.

Just use a piece of wire!
An ohm is a measurement of resistance...a wire has no resistance, aka no ohms, or zero (0) ohms
