hello people this was my first crx and was gana b used as a track car only had a build thread on here till i took her to the track and dropped a valve on my N20 B16 so decided to put a single in her and drive it around for a bit cuz my truck guzzles gas with that said i have a question what would b a fair price to sell her cuz i was looking to trade but have not been offered something i want yet i ask only cuz im not an ef specialist like most on here i c them range from 500 to 4000 so not sure were to start heres the specs and pics

i would post 3k or best offer, but my truck gets like 8 mpg, as good of shape as its in i would keep it, car looks good, you will kick urself in tha a$$ when its gone

 

lol i got it to were its at i bought it as a shell but mainly for drag racing never really liked the look of it but got it for weight purpose but thanks for the help kinda looking more for like and ek

That car is worth no where near what you think, it has been molested

The paint job was just sprayed over everything. None of the moldings where masked of, nor the front bumper grill.

The front end is missing parts, plus the hood doesn't line up

With the quick spray job, there could easily be bondo covering rust underneath it temporarly...plus, the door moldings are gone, what's up with that?

Just saying, for the kind of money he's thinking..it's way off because of those reasons. Critical, once again, i think not...hell, i bought a 2000 EM1 for only $4500....and he's looking for the same money out of that car

The last crx i bought for $500 would give that car a run for the money

VTEC cracks at 6500... doesn't sound like it's been dyno tuned to me. Add some tech questions to your thread before it gets locked.

 

I agree with crvtectim, 6500 sounds pretty high for VTEC to engage on what seems to be a pretty stock motor. Ask him for a dyno sheet before purchasing. Also, make sure to be careful if you do purchase it, since they switched out the head to a b16, there is no way to tell if the block is actually a ITR block, or if it is a GSR block. They are both stamped with B18C. Not saying it is NOT the real deal, just saying.

BAD

car looks like crap right now
fenders and doors are dented. Needed to replace driverside door for inspection
Camber is a little off and the tires are wearing unevenly
the ignition switch went bad so is wired on toggle switches
along with the toggle switches most of the dash harness is custom or remade, havent messed with it so not sure.
Normall wear on seats and back cargo cover and the climate control
Roof leaks under moldings on driver side so it drips from the lifter spring thing on the hatch,
no radio or speakers
was not inspected
needed back break pads
may need front ball joints soon
Other things not really good or bad

No ac or ps
custom lip (looks like the plastic for in a garden maybe? its flat for like 3 inches then has a round hollow tube on the bottom thats like .5 inch) looks good besides screws placed un even. covers up flaws in the bumper so im fine with it. honestly i would make another if i got a new bumper,

Honestly, I wouldn't unless its a legit bussiness or a well known group. But do your research, see if you can find any info about them before you commit to a purchase. I've bought plenty of parts from overseas but its also been through ebay and paypal, so the chances of me getting screwed were pretty slim.

 

ok my mom has an old 1991 civic lx sedan. its rockers are gone and i dont feel like fixing it and my mom doesnt want to pay to fix it and got a new car. so this one is geting junked in the next few weeks.

what things should i take out of it that wont sit around for very long. the engine is already coming out. same with tires and front seats and front bumper and headlights and corners

just curious if there is anything else that should be taken out. like how the climate control in a crx is so much. or crx door panels are worth alot.

interior is blue and car is white.

sorry mods i dont really know where to put this. its kinda like value because i want to know what is worth taking out of it. but yet i think it goes in tech also because im guessing there is alot of people also looking for what to grab from these. if you want to move or whatnot please do. just figured with me being on a time frame for it i would get more responses here

 

if it was me i would grab all the ac stuff. the lines, hoses, condenser, compressor, mounting brackets and all. i personally like having working ac and the parts will fit all 88-91 civic/crx and its getting harder to find all that stuff.
I would probably also try and get some of the suspension parts that can get bent up like lower control arms. but i am a pack rat when it comes to stuff like that...

 

well i will have a weekend to work on it and i can keep as much as i can pull off. but its my one weekend back from school and i dont want to just be working on a car. i tried to get my mom to keep it in our barn just to have but she wants to get rid of it. i already have parts from another civic i parted out sitting around for 2 years that arent selling

 

thats why i wanted to get what would sell quicker. and good call on ac. i still have full ac in the car

what about doors with power locks and windows? do enough people do the conversions in there car to keep these? slight rust in the bottoms of them. no holes or anything

Hi guys. Possibly buying my first Honda for a winter vehicle. Guy wants $500 for an 88 Sedan, 5-speed DX. 197k on the odometer. New clutch. Burns a small amount of oil as with higher mileage. No CEL. Just needs the door windows replaced due to someone attempting to steal the (garbage) radio. The quarter rust isn't awful for my state (Ohio). There is a small rust hole in the bottom of the trunk. Opinions?
