S2k Loses power after vtec engages
I have A 2002 S2k and when I hit vtech it gets to about 7k and feels like its losing power, I've searched for answers but can't seem to find anything that fits the problem I'm having. Help is much needed so if can help it would be appreciated. Plz keep all negative and useless comments to yourself thanks.

Check your oil level. If it's sufficient, maybe check your VTEC solenoid screen as it could be clogged. Other things you could try are resetting the ECU by pulling the backup fuse and doing a MAP whack.

Are you letting it warm up first? There's a cold rev limiter that won't even let you into VTEC range until it's reached a certain temperature.

If your VTEC solenoid screen is clogged, you'll have the issue you're describing. I had that issue with a prelude that I swapped before. I had a clogged cat do the same thing....actually...on another prelude.
Are you sure your check engine light works? It sounds like maybe the ECU doesn't know if the car is fully warmed up.
