Default Is this part needed?(PIC)

sorry about blowing up the prelude forums the past week i just have a lot of little questions. this is the airbox thing that mounts directly ontop of the transmission mount on my 94 prelude h22. one of the lines i believe went to the intake manifold and the other line went to the intakes resonator box. is it needed? im just trying to clean up the engine bay:

Yes, it helps with cold starts I believe. I think it's called air bypass solenoid.

if you are running a short ram or cai you don't need it as the resonator box in the bumper isn't doing anything...

There are two vacuum type boxes in your car. There is one that sits under the intake manifold and the other is where you said yours is. If that's where you got it, then you should just go ahead and keep it since it's obvious you're not running a CAI.

If the box in the bumper is gone then ditch it and put a vac cap on the manifold where the line went.

You can get a cap from a map sensor buffer hose in the 90-93 accords.

Your local parts store or shop should have vacuum caps. Or just leave a little bit of hose and put a screw in it. Less neat but it works.
