Theres a couple of problems that I've recently run across with my car its a 1997 Stock D16y8 EX Model Manual

I recently re-built the head got it surfaced and everything and changed the headgasket etc.

I started noticing that when I rapidly accerelated the RPMS would kind of skip. Than It started leaking oil, now I'm buying about a quart a week. Sometimes when I start it kind of struggles to turn on/stay on (It sounds like "Put Put Put") The car acts as if its out of gas before the "Gas" Light comes on.

when you re-installed the head...did you hook up all your vaccum lines? any holes/cracks/small leaks etc?

is the oil leaking or burning? put a cardboard box under it and/or have someone start it and stand behind it and look for blue smoke. If its leaking....fix the leak. Check the seals and or oil pan gasket...common leak spots. they are all fairly easy to fix (well cept that seal in the back of the motor) lol

 

sounds to me like a burnt valve.. i just picked up an accord with the same crappy (put put put) idle. but to be sure you should post a video while its at idle so that way we can hear it. btw has the idle turned shakey or rough other than low?
