i have an 88 SI civic Hatchback with a d16a6 i was thinking of swapping the motor out for a JDM b18c though any thoughts?

 

hmmmm...easy swap, so do it.

 

Honestly I think b18c's are over rated for the price.
3,000-3,5000 for the swap and you get 180hp and 128 tq.

Now a b16 has 160 with 111 tq and costs 2 grand. So is 1000-1,500 bucks worth that little difference? With that 1,500 you could buy the basic mods, intake,header,exhaust,or even suspension and at least start your build. But this is just my opinion.

 

should i look for a crate motor or buy one on ebay or what

 

i have an exhaustthough i was thinking about getting thew b16 and dropping a turbo in it
