i just bought a 01 integra auto
when i try to crank it to start up the car shuts off sometime and sometime when i start it first time it come on and the idle is very low and feel like its going shut off but after few sec it goes back to normal idle. the 2nd and 3rd time i crank it. it starts fine.

previous owner raplaced battery, spark plug and wires, air filter, fuel filter.

could it be the main relay?

any idea what it could be?

i have a 97 gsr and i have sort of the same problems. it cranks about 3 times and barely catches. then idle goes up then down. it idles about 500 rpms. i heard to check battery cables. make sure of good connection.

check your thermostat ground, transmission ground and valve cover ground.
