I was pulling into a parking lot and my car was starting to hesitate, when i stopped in the parking spot the car died on me. So i tried to start it back up to see WTF!. It wouldn't start as it should, so i decided to crank on it as i was giving it gas and it took about 7 seconds of cranking to get it going.

As i was keeping the rpms up a bit and then let it idle on its own, i let the clutch out it died again. so i had to crank on it but not as much this time.

So i got it running again and after a couple minutes of keeping the rpms up it i let it idle on its own and everything ended up being fine.

I'm thinkin it might be the iacv (since it idles like crap when it's cold) or the fuel pump, not exactly sure though.

i've recently replaced the spark plugs and the fuel filter.


Any help will be appreciated

i vote for iacv had similar problem with 0842 once

Yep, I would start by cleaning the IACV. Take your brake cleaner or simple green and start to clean up the inside of the IACV by spray inside the two holes. Continue to do this until no more dirty fluid comes out. Should take anywhere from 5 minutes to 15 minutes. This depending on how old and dirty your IACV is.
