Default Boost at 7psi with REV HARD

Hi, I just bought a Rev hard kit for my 01 LS integra... Here are the conponents:

Rev Hard Cast Iron Manifold
Rev Hard T3/T04B Hybrid Turbo
Turbo efficient to 350hp
Rev Hard Intercooler 28x6.5x3
Tial Wastegate
Dump Tube
Vortec Blow Off Valve
2.25" Aluminzed Mandrel Bent Piping
2.5" Downpipe
Progressive Type Fuel Regulator
High Volume Fuel Pump
Purosil Hoses & Clamps
Steel Braided -3 Oil Line
Oil Return Line
High Pressure Fuel Line
High Pressure Silicon Hose
Neccessary Vacuum Tee's
Neccessary Vacuum Lines

My question is, what do I need to run it at 7psi (that's what my wastegate is set at)and not BLOW my engine??? Can I run stock injectors or can I use prelude injectors (290cc) and that's it??? Also, do I really need the air intake and filter or can I just forget about it? Does it add HP with filter? Need info, Thanks for all your help.

3 options:

1) Get an inline pump + FMU (Not too reliable)
2) Get new injectors + AFC (Better)
3) Get new injectors + standalone (Best)

Also, make sure that fuel pump is inline if you want to run that FMU option.

Wow..your first post. Anyways, welcome to this site. The Forced Induction forum is the greatest. Lots of help and knowledgable people here. Seems like you got all the stuff down pretty well. Many people would suggest hondata and I would agree with them. Or you can use a Vortech FMU for now...You can probably pick one up for around $80-$100 used. It'll keep you there if you're not planning on boosting more than 7 but that's impossible. Hehe...As for the filter, use it. It'll prevent damage to the turbo, and it's not much of a difference in performance gain if you dont have one.

he should already have an FMU and inline pump with the kit.

7psi, FMU w/ inline fuel pump and stock injectors u should be fine. dont turn it up above that or you will need bigger injectors.

aren't you notorious for bumping up the boost to 8.5 - 9 psi?

Thanks guys this really helps. I'm short on money so I want to do the cheapest but also some what safe at the same time. What do you guys recommand about this setup. Walbro fuel pump, 310cc with s-afc and also an adjustable fpr?? The kit comes with a FMU but I'm not sure if I need to recalibrate it. Is all FMU set at 12:1 and can I leave it at that?

12:1 should be fine with stock injectors. just make sure you have a inline pump and not intank

Is 12:1 good for 310cc or do I need to change it? I have a walbro gss342, is that intank or inline??

Aright now I'm confused... Does the rev hard kit come with intank or inline? Also, if I go 310cc, what should my FMU setting be??

if his kit came with a walbro gss342, thats an INTANK.
if youre gonna keep the FMU the kit came with, youll need an INLINE pump and CHECK VALVES
i suggest you sell the FMU, use the INTANK and pick up some DSM 450s and an AFC. youll be fine at 7psi with that and at least its somewhat tunable.
but the AFC will only hold up to 12psi so if you want to build and up the boost later you might as well do it right the first time and get Hondata instead of an AFC.
good luck with your decision

Thanks again everything... I'm not sure what rev hard kit provides for a fuel pump b/c it hasn't arrived yet. I had a walbro left over b/c I had a jrsc and I thought I could use it from before. For now, the MAX I want to boost is 7psi b/c I really have no funds whatsoever and I cant afford 440 injectors with afc hack, hondata, etc. I just want to use what the rev hard kit has.

So once again, what do you think about this setup:

Prelude (290cc) injectors, Progressive FMU (12:1), Aerospeed APR, inline fuel pump, and NGK cold sparks. Will this keep me SAFE at 7psi?? YES OR NO

I wouldnt say notorious. but i ran it at .6bar pretty much daily. i dont reccomend people to do that but hey, they can if they want as long as they know what can happen.

Hey turbox01 who's installing the kit for you? I know a place that can tune it and have it dynoed for 65$ an hr. And he's alittle past King of Prussia area.

Revhard definitely comes with an inline (mine did)... and if it didn't, don't run
without that inline.

Hey Roydogg, what is the shop called and do u have the number? How would they tune my car if I have no afc or hondata, just 7psi with inline pump and fmu??

Also here's another question, will I get the same HP at 7psi if I use 310cc or stock injectors?? Does giving more fuel help me increase my hp??

You can either go to modified motorsports but their in lancaster or SOSNIN.COM and he only charges 65hr. Let me know if you want to go so that I can get my teg dynoed too. I think it would be best if you ran the 330cc injectors.
