No...it gives you no toe in or out. also its not indipendent so if one shock hits a bump...the other goes bump bump as well. Like it says...its solid. Its a good easy way to take out weight but takes out drivability in a car...even look at Stephs tube cars, they dont even use a solid rear axle.

jerry,
well Bisi uses the Elite rear end. and it mounts to the stock mounting points. Uses a 1-2lbs caliper, and lightweight rotors(motorcyle rotors I believe). available in aluminum and mild steel. theres an adjustable tensioner thing that puts pressure on the whole thing also but i dont know how the details on that.( i guess acts like a wheelie bar)
Uses a spindle mount wheel which is provided with the kit.
the kit is about $2200-2500 depending on the type of wheel and material you choose.

I run a solid rear axle on my daily driven Civic. I'm running leaf springs in the rear. I have done a few autocrosses with this setup and there is NO problem with drivability/handling. It is the same rear setup that Domestic cars have been running for YEARS. The entire rear end (including single leaf springs, beam axle, hubs, shocks) weighs less than 24 lbs!!!! Dropped my times from 14.3 to 14.1 with no other mods!!
You can t buy the nuformz kit direct from them...you have to buy it from a dealor. If anyone wants the kit, my price on it is $4000 without the wheels.
I paid $1485.00 for my MMR rear solid axle shipped. Includes rear solid axle, wilwood calipers, I think it's hal rear disc brakes with studs, etc...
SHould be here this week. Takes 2-3 weeks to make its custom made.
They say the MMR one removes 88lb's. we wil see actually how much it does when it gets here.

for the IDRC Quick class we do allow solid rear just make sure you get a kit that doesnt make you cut the rear sub out.
If any of you guys have questions email me at jerry@importdrag.com

I was getting ready to cut mine out. when you say rear sub frame the middle part where the trailing arms connect we are not allow to cut that out?
but I can use rear solid axle still. I think rules should be stated clearly in the IDRC rulebook. Almost cut it out and I would of been screwed $1500 down the drain.

yes you can run a solid rear just make sure you dont cut any of the rear sub out. if you cut any of the rear sub you take on a 100 pound penalty.
In my opinion, DO NOT cut anything out of the floor, suspension points since all the rules are changing so often. Its not worth it and can bump you off a class you want to race at or the weight penalty.
Question. If I did cut it out would I still be able to run in quick class with 100lb weight penalty. <--Means 100lb heavier or lighter?
