intermittent power loss at 1800 rpm.
i have a 91 db1 sedan, like the title says i have an intermittent power loss. off a light in 1st it feels like the hp cuts in half for about a 4th of a second and then proceeds to full power as usual ONLY after it warms up. its just enough to notice an issue. it only happens sometimes, and only from a stop. i was referred here for a bit of brain storming. i dont have much time for anything including forums so this feels like a shot in the dark. heres what has been tested according to my factory acura repair manual:
iac test -pass
ftv test - pass
timing - set to adv by myself way before this happened
pgmfi main relay bypassed and fuel pump wired on separate relay swiched by pgmfi main
no vacuum leaks that i can visually see via tube inspection,
no mil idiot light
cannot set idle properly as i do not have an automotive grade tachometer
parts that have been replaced when i bought it 13,000k ago and are ruled out according to the book
fuel filter
timing belt
throttle body
spark plugs
catalytic converter
icm
iac
o2 sens
engine tweaks:
my integra is running a custom tailored msd wire, cap, rotor, coil setup, the rad out of my nissan skyline, a diy oil catch can from a receiver drier, a range colder plug, (i was roasting the old ones, not from running lean) no pwr steering and applicable sensors, and is filled with royal purple full synthetic.
i want intelligent answers please, im not hating on newbs, but i am far from a newb and would like to solve this as quickly as possible. my suspicions lay now in the fuel pump its self, air in the cooling system therefor confusing the ect, or the one wire retard o2 sensor not relaying information fast enough.
