My dashboard lights are very dim when headlights are on. I have no idea what is going on please help. Earlier today my Pedal Stopper Pad (brake light switch thingy) broke so the tail lights were on. Luckily I fixed the problem before my battery died. But I have no idea what is going on with the dashboard lights. What do I do?

 

check your alternator?

 

I'm fairly new to this car thing, what exactly do i check for. Is this gonna cost a lot

It's normal for the dash lights to dim when you turn on your headlights - it's to prevent glare while driving at night.
