Default B17a1 Vtec Pressure switch Bypass not working!!! (code 23 KS)

Ok i have a 92 integra gsr B17a1 and i just had the motor fully rebuilt back to stock oem.. Trying to keep it clean an stock sense there so rare.. Well when i got the car back an on drive home i decided that i wanted to hit vtec just for a second (New Motor) to see if it was working, well vtec didnt engage so i backed off and a couple min later the CEL came on.. Got Home an checked the CEL and got code 22 (Vtec Pressure Switch). So i did some research and found out you can bypass the switch.. So i tried bypassing it by connecting wires A4 and D6 together like shown below.. Well after everything was taped up i went for a ride and as soon as i got on the road the CEL came on again and Vtec still wouldnt engage.. Went home and now its throwing code 23(knock sensor) but no more code 22.. So i unwired everything an put it back to normal and code 23 goes away but code 22 come back.. So is the way i have it wired up right?? Am i suppose to do something with the knock sensor wire>?? Bc its highlihted in the instructions but it doesnt say to do anything with it..

Ok so i just spliced into wire D6 blue/black on the vtec pressure switch and ran it
to wire A4 green/yellow on the vtec solenoid and left both plugs plugged in.. Is this Right?? but i throw code 23 this way i thought obd1 KS didnt effect Vtec...

This is the instructions i followed.. What do i do with the knock senor wire? Why is it highlighted?

Thanks for any help!!!

Take it back and have them fix it if it wasnt doing it before. You shouldn't have to bypass the pressure switch, make sure it's hooked up right and you have appropriate oil pressure.

Ive already contacted the shop and talked to them and they said there's nothing they can do because i hav no proof that it worked before even though it did.. So basically im left with bypassing the switch i jus want to know if the diagram i drew of how i got it hooked up right if not hows it suppose to be?? Bc vtec still doesnt work and im getting code 23 for the knock sensor.. I didnt know obd1 car had knock sensors or that they affected vtec engaging in these year cars.. And whats the best way to check the oil pressure??

Thanks

The knock code won't make VTEC stop from activating but the pressure switch code and low oil pressure will. I'm betting they broke the knock sensor (its easy to do). Have you checked to see if the switch is hooked up? Both the knock sensor and the pressure switch. What are the colors going to the switch? Post pics.Heres a diagram to show where they both are:

You'll have to use an oil pressure gauge outlined here: https://honda-tech.com/forums/hybrid-engine-swaps-18/%5Bfaq%5D-%22my-vtec-doesnt-work%22-1812135/

I will have to post pics tomorrow after school but the vtec pressure switch is plugged up it has a blue/black wire and just a black wire going to it.. I havent got around to check the knock sensor yet will do tomorrow but the thing is i only get the knock sensor code when i try bypassing the pressure switch but still no vtec an no more code 22.. But when i wire everything back up to just normal the knock sensor code goes away an i get code 22 vtec pressure switch again.. I just really want to know if i wired up the bypassing write to override the pressure switch so vtec will always engage..

Thanks for all inputs

bump**
Just wondering if my wiring is right to bypass the pressure switch? I really just want vtec working i really dont plan on hitting it for awhile but just to know that its there and working will put my mind at ease while i sort threw my other problems with the car an i'll worry bout replacing the pressure switch later when i have enough money.

Thanks!!!

u need to leave the 2 prong connector disconnected ... you tap the blue/black wire that goes to pressure switch to the valve solenoid thats green/yellow and leave the 2 prong connector disconnected ..
