98 GSR swap in a 92 Vx, been in the car 3 years... Used the GSR motor harness along with a chipped P06 ecu. I was racing a ITR (B) swapped 92-95 coupe last night when I missed 4th & ended up in 2nd. Cause the engine to shoot why in the RED & breaking my pressure plate!!!
Changed the pressure plate & clutch today started the car back up & it idled really rough. I checked the timing... a little off, fixed that & started the car back up. Idle still rough. turned the dizzy a little, car cut off. Tried to restart no fire. Changed coils, car starts but still idled rough!!! Car cuts off again, no fire, no more coils to change... Friend finds a post somewhere on internet stating some guy burnt up 2 coils in 24hrs., replaced the dizzy & hasnt had a problem since... Don't wanna buy a dizzy & still have the same problem. Have friends looking for dizzy's for me to try...
Could a missed gear & over revving the motor cause the dizzy to go bad??? The dizzy has (as far as I know) 160K miles on it.. Can a bad ground cause this problem???

Honda distributor rotors are known to shatter at excessive RPM, it is at least worth a look.
Did the engine run rough after the pressure plate broke? I'm trying to make sure you didn't forget anything when you removed the transaxle.
In what condition is the wiring to the distributor? If your losing spark you need to check that out first. Check the cap and rotor and internals for damage. Then use a test lamp and isolate the coil negative for pulsing off/on when the engine is started. No pulse generally means bad ignitor, but if the ignitor does not receive a crank signal, it will not spark. This can be easily determined by cranking the engine with everything hooked up, and listening for injector pulse. Pulse means the PCM knows the crank is turning, and knows when to fire fuel, so it can also fire spark, leading to ignitor/coil/cap/rotor, at any rate something central to all 4 cylinders.
Verify mechanical engine timing, and check engine compression.

Yes it ran very rough...

Well i did the compression testing this eve & my worst fears are true!!! The valves are bent... not sure how many but 2-4 clys wont hold any compression & #1 only gets to 150 before leaking down slowly!
So i guess i fucked it up pretty good!!!!!!!!
