I recently put a B16a2 head on my 94 integra B18B1 OBD1. i only put the head with a 99 civic si intake all stock, i used the ls head gasket, timing belt, oil pump, water pump, arp bolts. now i installed a sandwich plate to get oil to the head that way (this swap i bought was already running on a b20 end and working fine). my Vtec does not engage and the head make a clacking niose also code 22 is coming on so there is not enough oil pressure to the solenoid. i also removed the oil restrictor from the block, you think this might be the problem im having now??? im running a chipped p28 and the way i wire the vtec was running the solenoid to A4 and pressure switch to d6 and ground. anything im missing here???

 

you're not supposed to remove the oil restrictor from the block.

 

I really tought so.. suck i gotta take everything back apart for a plug... thing is that when i did the same swap on a D16 the plug needed to come out so i removed it from the B18 block without thinking of the sandwich plate
