I have a vg30dett that I'm currently in the middle of rebuilding. Bottom end has eagle rods and JE pistons. When I pulled the pistons off of the rods 3 of the small end rod bushings showed signs of cracking bit only along the very bottom section of the bushing between the two oiling holes. I will have pictures as soon as I charge my.phone

That last one is the worst
My question is what would cause something like this to happen? Motor showed no signs of an oiling issues or any sort of bottom end damage. Can these rods be sent to eagle an
d have new bushings pressed in?

Any reputable machine shop should be able to replace them without a issue. Call up your machine shop and see what they say. I don't think they're hard to change...

I'd rather have Eagle do it.since it's their product and they know the proper small.end diameter
