D15b Wagovan, vtec not working yo
The rundown
89 Wagovan converted to obd-1
D15b vtec
Virgin P28
Throwing codes 7(TPS)-10(IAT)-22(Pressure switch)
Vtec is 100% correctly wired pin A4 to solenoid, D6 to pressure switch signal wire and other pressure switch wire is grounded at Tstat ground.
Would the codes I'm throwing prevent vtec from working besides the pressure switch code? And how often/likely does a pressure switch go bad? I'm going to check the resistance in it tomorrow but just had these questions. Thanks for your time.

Also just read that the car has to be in motion. If true then how do I trick the ecu into getting that signal all the time as obd-0 cars did not have vehicle speed sensors?
The tps code is from what I believe is a glitch near where the pedal would be while cruising as during a resistance check it measures to spec so its adjusted right, and while cruising around 25mph in 3rd it feels like it chugs ever so slightly.

Nobody has any input? Really? I also have been reading about bypassing the vtps as it seems like mine is having an issue. I'm wondering, will the ecu still switch to the high cam maps? I don't want to be activating vtec while running on low cam map.
No speed sensor because its an obd-0 car, only speedo cable. So do I need to trick my ecu into thinking its receiving a speed signal? And the codes are for TPS IAT and Vtec pressure switch. Vtec wiring is right but I think my pressure switch is bad so Im going to bypass is tomorrow.
Good morning bump. Need some insight, wants vtak.
Just need to know what codes will prevent vtec crossover besides vtps, and if I bypass the vtps will my ecu still switch to the high cam map?

Yes you might have to trick the ecu by running a wire from blue dizzy wire to a pin on ecu.....but on the other hand that wouldn't cause vps to not work. Go to local junkyard and get all the sensors you should be ok
*sigh* dude you do have a speed sensor its built into the stock gauge cluster. the mechanical device in the cluster puts out an electrical signal which is sent to the ecu.
for the tps code did you switch the two outter wires on the plug when you swappped to mpfi? (assuming you're fwd here). also did you hook up the correct plug to the iat? it should be the white plug with the red and white wires, not the black and orange wires.

Going to rewire it tomorrow and will be left to two codes. Also got two extra vtec pressure switches Im going to try after I re-wire for it as I bypassed it today. The solenoid also has an led wired to it to let me know for sure vtec is working, and I've tested the solenoid and it does click.
