ebay alarm i need out
I have a 92 da9 i bought the car about a month ago and it came with a bogus ebay alarm. I want to take it out but i dont want to mess my car up. If i set the alarm off i need to flip a switch before i can get the car to turn on. If i dont flip the switch it wont start. It'll turn over and crank but wont start up. just woundering if i could just remove it and have no worries or is it wired into my ignition? There is a black wire that runs just to the left of my brake booster where there is a hole in the fire wall (factory). And i have no clue where it goes that why i dont want to just strip it out.
Find the alarm brain, fallow any and all leads from the alarm brain and disconnect them from where they are connected to the cars wiring, reconnect any car wiring that was cut.
It sounds like you have either a kill switch, [not part of alarm] or you are flipping the alarms valet/override switch, a few pix would help. 94

Sounds like you should leave it in...It's a headache because you're not used to it, but once you get used to it, it'll help keep novice thieves from taking the car.
