Im doing a rebuild on a d16z6, and idk if i would trust an ebay gasket set. Other than a honda dealer, where can i buy a full gasket set for a good price? Ive checked hondapartsnow.com and a few other "google search" websites. When i say good, i mean reliable. This isnt a full out performance build, but the motor will eventually be turboed, or supercharged.

i was going to do an all out build, but i figured id make fun DD instead. so it would be a small turbo with about 6-8 psi. but im just planning on rebuilding it stock then add bolt ons later. thats why i was asking about the gaskets. a thought crossed my mind yesterday about just using spray so i can have my go-fast moments whenever needed but idk. thanks guys.

 

lol forced induction will give you your go-fast moments whenever you need too...when you dont need "go-fast" its called staying out of boost and driving normal...

right now i cant afford a 2000$ turbo kit. and i dont like the rag tag thought of a dsm junkyard turbo build.

ive been searching on what i can do performance wise and not have to worry about a tune right now. but no luck...

i cant find a tuner around my area. and with my job fairly long distance drive wouldnt be possible anytime soon.

 

one more thing, what pistons can i use to up my comp ratio with out a tune? ive read some places where p29 are too high of compression ratio without a tune and could cause detonation. ive researched the a6 pistons, but i havent found the exact answer to my question, bc ive read they can up your compression ratio also.

 

oh and one more thing i forgot to ask, what can i do besides i/h/e to gain hp with a tune? i have a b18a1 tb that should be bigger than the d series. anything i can do without a tune would be helpful..

PS, ive been searching all day for this info and nothing points me in the right direction.
