Default Wierd cel issue, obd0 to obd1

hey guys,

somone came to me with a ef hatch with a obd0 to obd1 convertion, that was tuned with AEM EMS (so there was no CEL). the car ran fine and everything worked ok,

so he came to me and he wanted to step back to a chipped p28.

i had the car for a few days so i could inspect it to make sure everything is ok to start tune it,

OK, here is the issue,
when i turn the key to ON solid cel comes on and stays on until i start the car, when i start the car the cel turns off,
(when i jump the scs connector nothing happens, when i ground D4 nothing happens.)
while the engine is running. if i pull one of the sensors connectors, the cel stays off.

while dataloging\tuning on crome, if i pull one of the sensor connectors i'm getting a CELn, on crome,

so i know everything in the tune\ecu and the majority of the wiring is ok.(since i'm able to tune it)

any ideas guys?

thanks

pull out the gauge cluster and make sure he didn't wire(jumped) the CEL indicator lamp with the oil pressure indicator lamp.

had two cases like this before. man i wanted to bang my head on the wall! LOL

wiring was screwed up just to show the new owner, yeah, CEL comes on and off.
