Garage filled with smoke
1995 civic dx coupe 5speed
So i just got a new intake system and a exhaust so i revved it to 4000RPM to hear how it sounded.
my whole garage filled with white smoke. not thick smoke like a blown head gasket. just thin white smoke. the garage was closed(ventilated).
What could it be. the car has been sitting for about a month but i start it everyday.
My mechanic said my cat converter is just about shot. could it be that?

The smoke was most likely condensate that was sitting in the piping...
What makes your mechanic think the cat is shot? Usually when a cat is clogged there is a huge loss in power...if the honey comb inside the cat broke into pieces the engine would struggle to get the car up to 25mph while at wot...dont listen to him lol
and the garage was closed(ventilated)??? huh if it was ventilated dont you mean the gargae was open?

No my garage at home have 2 vents that sucks everything outside. I do paint work so i built vents to suck everything out.
the exhaust is brand new. I dont know how it can have condensate sitting in it already. The exhaust is 1 week old. the engine has 330xxxKMS though. I can notice the valve cover has a leak, simple gasket will fix that. I dont notice any lead at the head gasket. Maybe I should just get a new engine lol

lol. no. its not thick at all. very light but it filled the whole garage. i revved it at 4k RPM for about 3 sec. maybe its just normal...
