So drove the new project car to work today. 95 dx coupe 170k original d15 etc. No wire hacking or anything except for an alarm which is on valet mode. Came out an went to start. Got nothing. All the lights came on radio worked horn was loud and i could hear the fuel pump prime. So seems the battery is perfectly fine. Go to turn it over and it does nothing at all. No starter click or anything. Pop started it and got it home. Ran perfectly fine for the ride home. Stopped at red lights an stayed running good. Got home tried starting it and nothing at all when i turn the key again. Thinking either starter or Neutral safety switch?? It's dark an i'm going to check some fuses etc. But any ideas?? Anyone have this problem before? It would just be easier before i start taking things apart that's all. Thanks!!

Rubber stopper missing?

 

So after checking fuses-good. Then power to starter-good. Figured i'd take the starter out tomorrow. Then after reading Ronj post i went and checked the rubber bumper. As i climbed under neath noticed a couple rubber pieces on the floor. Checked it....and of course it was not there. took the switch out for now and will just depress by hand for now until i fix that piece. Thanks a lot!!
