Default type R + n20? Anybody running a small shot

Hey HT, I recently finished up my b18c (Type R ) swap into my CRX finally, and its fun but I am looking for a little more power. I realize I am in need of a good tire as well or slick just so I can really see what the car can do but I am really considering nitrous. Is anyone running a small shot; 50 - 75 shot? I am just curious what numbers you making if you can post your set ups.. and wondering if it is worth it to go nitrous. ANY INPUT appreciated , i have an '88 HF with a b18c , ported intake mani , i/h/e and a wallbro.. thats it and was leaning towards head work from the machine shop or N20. thanks.

It wasn't me. The controlling unit is describe in the post.

From my research here are the basic numbers:
Type R engines stock are "safe" internally until 300hp, and it is considered a time bomb at 350hp. Rods and pistons will get you to 500hp, but then your cylinder walls will need to be replaced. If you want to turbo your Type R you can do between 6-10psi and get to 300hp safely. Depending on the axles you used in your swap you probably will have to upgrade those, and the trans will need to be rebuild at ~500hp.

There are a lot of stories about people destroying their Type Rs, and there have been a lot of impressive numbers by people.

You don't need to change your headbolts for that small of a shot.. all you need to do is make sure you retard the correct amount of timing for however big of a shot you run, and get a non projected tip spark plug, at least 1 step colder than the one you're currently running, or 1 step less than OEM spec. Don't listen to others when they say "I run a bigger fuel jet than what is recommended for safety" it doesn't make it any safer for you to be extremely rich. All nitrous kit jettings are rich. I would either run that same fuel jet, or run a one step smaller fuel jet. My opinion, I'd you plan on spraying "blind" without a wideband, do a wet shot.

I've been using a zex dry kit for 5 years 75 shot, just retard the timing and 1 step
colder plugs and I have had no problems.

^that's good to hear(5 years strong) I am getting a kit Monday or Tuesday here coming up. Probably throw it on next week or in a week and a half and then have it tuned when i get some money the following week. I'm excited to see what numbers I put down now that I have some good tires, I took her out today and she just spun all the way through second. Feels good to have the crx running at 100 percent now.
