It says it right there ZC. Person probably just left the DPFI manifold intact instead of converting.

Just to clarify what everyone is talking about. This is an imported ZC motor, if your from the US. Your car is a standard or DX model which means it is Dual port fuel injection (DPFI). SI's and HF's are Multi-port fuel injection (MPFI), or one injector per cylinder. Whoever put the ZC motor in was lazy and didn't swap the intake manifold and wire up the MPFI, since ZC's are MPFI. So by putting a MPFI intake on and wiring it up you should get 10-25 more hp.

A y8 or z6 heads are v-tec, and can bolt right to that block. You will have to change your ECU and wire the v-tec in (search mini-me swap). This will give you another 10-25hp.

Hmm, did Honda release a zc sohc non vtec with a carburetor? I'm dealing with a similar issue. I have 91 civic STD set up with dpfi. The block code is d15b only, no b1 or b whatever. My head is pretty much identical except that egr lookin like is not there. A block plate has been installed. I've researched it and it is a mechanical fuel pump. Those heads were built for the carbureted jdm d15b.

ZC is what they use in Japan to indicate a 1.6L single cam, I've seen shops swap ZCs into their customer cars with the dpfi manifold, it works though haha
