LS/VTEC or Turbo LS?
Hey guys,
I have an LS Integra with 140,000 miles. I've been reading about how to do LS/VTEC (seems easy), but I've also read that LS/VTEC is unreliable.
My question is, what is more cost-effective and reliable? LS/VTEC or Turbo? I want to get about 200 whp on my Integra. I've been told that I can get there with low boost, about 7 psi. What is the hp gain on a mild LS/VTEC conversion?
Thanks,
Ben

go turbo save some money for the rest of the car. besides you'll get better power gains out of it. more bang for the buck. just maintain the car a lil more meticulously and it should be jsut fine.
yeah, you will get 200 HP quicker w/a turbo.
your car has a lot of miles though, but if you had the car for the majority of it's life and have maintained it, then it should be fine to boost.....and if you did end up having motor problems, big deal, your engine had a lot of miles on it anyway.
If you do decide to go turbo, build up bottom end. don't run on stock internals.
