CRX 1.6 si tranny work in EG?
Hello,
I have a friend that did a swap on a CRX Si, had a 1.6 in it. I just wanted to know if this transmission is cable or hydralic. He has it left over from the blown 1.6. If its cable I don't think it'll work in my EG. Thanks,
Matt

yes its cable..no it will not work without modification. u would have to look into a hyro to cable adapter from hasport or some of the other brands. better off finding a 92-95 sohc vtec ex/si tranny
b series and d series trannies dont interchange..u can change the gearing of the current tranny u have to be even better then a b16a..with a final drive and gear set.
That si tranny is geared way shorter than the eg si tranny. If it's cheaper you can get a hydro to cable conversion piece from hasport. You'll like the Si tranny way better. I've had both and I hate my 94 si D16Z6 tranny.
